An Evening in Carcassonne

5.30 pm - a friend called me ... "jom jalan2 ... bosan dok rumah" ... and that evening we went to carcassonne .. the 3rd time for me ... why not ... I'm always ready to do this kind of outing .. you know why :) ... this is a shot ... my daughter and the friend's son.

When i bought my 350D, i bought it with the kit lens 18-55 ... and i said to myself ... i should stop there, because they have cost me a lot ... only to answer to my curiosity on what is the big deal using a DSLR as compared to a point and shoot device. But I was wrong. The big deal is not only about the camera .. but also about the lens! Now i've spent some more euros (after 2 weeks of search ... review reading ... bidding at ebay ... heheh ) just to get a second hand Ultrasonic USM machine 28-105 .... 3.5-4.5 ofcourse ... i just received the lens yesterday ... shot a few late the afternoon ... and here is one nice close-up shot from it.

Vide Grenier à Lézat sur Lèze

We went to a flea market/car boot sale last few weeks at Lézat sur Lèze .... about 40 minutes driving to the south of Toulouse. At the beginning we thought it was just another small flea market with few vendors selling old goods. It was a surprise .... the market is held all over the town! We haven't got enough time to cover all of it. And just before leaving, we got to know that this flea market is held here only once a year.
